"I think I saw your Landie in the carpark Huw.  That is unless someone else has a Discovery with loads of grass hanging off the chassis." - Phil, the other Land Rover fan at work

"So, do you take it off-road, then?" - Kenny, another colleague who obviously hadn't figured it out from the snorkel, steering guard and the fact that I've still not managed to get the bodywork to return to its original blue colour after Langley farm.

"Are you going to be buying any more bits for the Jeep?" - Gareth, my housemate.

I think the last comment may warrant physical violence.

Don't you just love it when people ask you "Do you take it off-road" #-o

especially when its covered in Mud,   I usually tell them "only when I park on my drive" or "no its just the pot-holes in London are so deep. "   ](*,)
Cheers.

I keep getting funny looks at work cos my space has a growing pile of mud on it.. The kids at my daughters nursery seem to think it's "wicked" though

When my wife drove her ("my") 200Tdi Disco with Safari snorkel to work, people used to ask why she had a raised exhaust.

Evidently not very mechanically savvy then.

One of the juniors asked if I take my "JEEP" off road.... normally I'd let it go after correcting him but this time I decided to take exception for three reasons - 1, the rest of the team overheard him 2, the rest of the team heard me taking exception, 3 his dad has a disco

I was parked at B'ham Uni the other day (we do a lot of work there) to find a sheet of A4 with "nice jeep mate!" written on it tucked under the wiper blade!

While at LRO show on sunday i asked one of the stewards looking after the car park
"which way to the off-road track mate"

He pointed at a disco driving off out the gate and said

"follow that jeep" ](*,)

I was close to smacking him, but to shocked to say wat an ass he was

i should have shoved his yellow bid up his ****
