How do you fit a Rear Step

Hi

just got a step off EBay and I cant see where to bolt the step and hydraulic ram to. Can any one help? Any pictures?

Just this minute finished fitting mine  :o

The step mounts using the big bolt through the chassis that landrover fit the towing eye to.

I used plenty of copper grease as i'm told they like to seize up!

I have two of them both off a disco 2, they bolt through holes in the chassis had a look on mine & there's no holes but would assume you can drill some :?:

Should bolt through the same hole the towbar fixes through I think John  :wink:

This is what you should have!



L shaped bracet!


front of step (where long bolt, spacers and plastic inserts fit)


plastic insert!


spacer fits inside plastic insert!


Long bolt and nut!


I got spacers and long bolt and nut with my step so i cleaned those up before i fitted them!

hi mark got one on the old disco if you need to pinch some bits of it
Defender TD5 2000
Disco 300tdi 1995 5door with mods

Series III 109 EX MOD 1985
Series I 88  1958 older than me
