T-max compressor

T-max portable compressor has anyone got one can you recommend one or am i to steer clear. I ask because i have just spotted one at my local landy shop for £50.

I have one myself and I have sold over 50 in the past 3 months or so and not had one problem.

Question for those guys who have one :

D'ya reckon one of these would cope with a commercial vehicle?

i.e a 7.5 tonner tyre that needs to be @90psi.

They seem to be great pieces of kit. If they would cope with this then id buy one.

im assuming you guys are on about a similar thing to the compressors that you find in halfrauds and in petrol stations etc for inflating tyres... see them all over the place for a tenner. are they ANY use at all, or will it just blow up? :D

on another note, have you been round any of the twycross/etc lanes recently, dave? also, which SLR is it that you have? we bought a 350D not long ago, couldnt remember if you had the same one

It is an eos 33 35mm SLR i have looked at the 350d but not made a purchase as yet my S7000 has done me good. Not done the local lanes since we did them last they do look a bit wet.  :shock:

Ps yes its for tyres i have had one of the usual ones that has been fine for two years but i like the t-max one so i will replace with one of them.

I have one plumbed into my 110. It is the dogs danglies. I have a 256ltr stainless tank, and auto cut off. I have wired it with the 50amp anderson plugs too. As the cable is a bit short, i can then use the 20' extention to blow other tyres up too.

Im plumbing in air horns soon. :)

Dave, that looks very similar to my little compressor ,. I got it from  focus, about 10 quid springs to mind ,yes it works well, and I dare say is the same as the T max, £50.00 seems a little steep...........

do they pump up tyres quick
as this arb compressor for the lockers takes the p  :shock:
takes forever in a day 2 pump these simex up now from 18 - 35 psi
take bout 8 mins on each tyre it perthetic
any input would be gr8

Just using the compressor, not the stored air. I can pump a 235 85 16, from 10 psi to 32 psi in under a minute. :)

producing 72 litres of air per minute, and a working pressure of 150 PSI.

So its got the pressure, but at about 2.5 cfm its going to be slower compared to a workshop compressor. I can't find output figures for £10 compressors on the net, so i expect they are lower/slower still.
