Okie, some of you may know I have just upgraded my hone and gone back onto contract. Going back two weeks ago I went int this networks own store, signed a contract, agreed to pay £50 for the phone etc. all good.
When he rang it all up the Phone came up as £124. And I said no, he appologised, try to throw in freebeis etc and I had to explain I just couldnt do it. Walked out of the shop with the guy appologizing but saying he was sorry and it would be sorted out. On the Way back I spot the same deal but with a free phone in another store and walk out quite happy with everything.
Untill this morning, when two bills arrive, one for the phone I have, one for the phone I didnt want. Looking at the bill for the other phone the tariff is wrong too. So off we go, a call to Billing Enquiries.
Aparently I have to pay the first bill because I cancelled the contract. Protestations about the fact I never even had a copy of the contract or ever even saw the phone were ignored and I was told that their network stores are a third party, I would have to go into the store and argue it with them. In the meantime payment would be taken anyway. My respose being, you do and it WILL go further. Dropping that as I realise it wasnt gonng go further I brought up the subject of my unlimited text messaging. that it was on the contract I didnt have, but not on the one I do. When I challanged this I was told only orange can add this, not third parties, HUH!? [Edited]? So I pointed out the flaw in her argument. They cant sort my problem out because its with a third party, but the third party did something only they can do!?
I said I would be visiting both stores tomorrow and speaking to both managers and if I didnt get an answer the contracts would BOTH be cancelled because they have failed to meet their end.
Now to another Phone company thats sent me a bill with £88 under 'other charges' and no explaination.
WHy is it impossible for anyone to get anything right nowadays?
