where does everyone weld braces on the clutch arm ??
ive got the shiney new genuine on in my hand and got a few ideas of were to weld it but just making sure by confirming with you guys
so where do you lot beef them flimsy arms up ?

If you look on Guy90 post in the defender forum you can see where it was welded, just make sure you do a better job of the welding

P.S didn't bother doing mine as the one i took off hadn't even worn and the clutch was worn out so it doesn't wear that quickley as long as you lubricate the ball it pivots on when you fit it.

Just my view, feel free to ignore it

everyone i changed has been gen part and they all been f9
and im fitting gen part
so should be ok
and my welding skills are alot better than them !!
seems like he was 2 slow and just built up a pool of weld rather than a nice run and bonding the 2 structures
mite aswel used bluetack  :lol:

Why does the fork need strengthening?
I had this done on my last car but i'm not sure on why i needs doing.
The clutch on my 300 Tdi is on its way out.
Its done 146k on original parts
Would making the fork stronger really be a benifit?
Or does it depend on how you use your clutch
Getting 146k miles is quite good.

And I have on my RRC.  Don't know about the Disco one but the cast one has a nylon insert so is self lubricating.
