I'm starting my teacher training course today.  I have a nasty suspicion this is going to be rather difficult, and very hard work.  I'm not yet regretting doing it though!

Mrs_D is a teacher and I wish I was too now... Just think 1/3rd of the year off work if it starts to get painful it'll be worth it in the end.

It's not the job it was, my parents were both teachers and whilst I think the money may be a lot better now the social standing has fallen away, bit like being a copper I guess :?

Science :shock:  They all have to take it and none of them want to!!! Still, lots of exciting stuff you can do with the 'little darlings'.

Dont rush your choice of union, you get free membership for your student year. Which one to go for will depend on the local group and how active and effective they are. I am a member of NASWUT simply because one of the local reps is a good friend of mine.
You don't HAVE to join a union but its a damn good idea just in case an allegation gets made against you. At least you would then get free legal support.

BTW fancy some laning during all those long holidays when everybody else is working???? I am sure TonyEGV would be up for it :twisted:
