Please someone give me some help regarding 90 for sale
« on: September 18, 2006, 22:40:13 »
I have just spotted this vehicle this evening on autotrader for sale. Its a 90 fitted with a 200tdi. it silver and is up for £4650. If you do a search nationally you should be able to view it. It has the sticker one life. live it which i have seen before on some owners vehicles on here.

My questions are, is this anyones vehicle os here that you know of and secondly does this seem worth the money and is the spec any good?

If people could post asap, i want to move swiftly if its ok.

Thanks for your help in advance

Geoff

Off hand I can't visualise it........ we'd need more details than that

If your thinking of spending that sort of money, get yourself to a newsagent and pick up this months LRO (Land Rover Owner) as they have done a feature on how to spend £5k. That should give you a good indication of what you can expect for that sort of money.

No way is it worth nearly £5k

Ask him as it had a new chassis....then it may be worth it

f reg on 102k? thats low millage,TDI gearbox could be either an R380 or a LT77,more than likely an LT77 due to it being a 200tdi,if its local go & have a look,

jarrod:remember mine has had a retro fit 200 in it,could be the same for that,

Also

if you go 2 down to the Lreg 90,beware that 90's of that age IE 93-96 suffer really badly from rot in the bottom of the chassis legs just behind the rear suspension mounts on the chassis, older ones suffer more on rear crossmembers & bulkhead outriggers

Cheers for in the input chaps, i think its going to be worth me taking a look to be fair. I'll have a good poke about. Apart from whats been mentioned where to look, any prominent questions to ask?

Obviously i'll check the usual rust spots, but id be hoping that as its had a respray that these issues would to some degree ahve been addressed.
