its a jps lotus 72  as raced by emerson fittipaldi  :lol:

Not sure the Lotus ever appeared for Marlboro, they were arch rivals of JPS. It did appear in Gold Leaf livery though.

Marlboro were sponsors of BRM in that period (with the P160) and moved to McLaren shortly after. Somewhere I still have a Polystil diecast model of the Marlboro MRM P160.

No question, the Lotus 72 was the best looking F1 car of the time.

when the lotus sponsorship with jps finished they went over to camel ciggies for a sponser. i can hear the sound of that cosworth engine now.

It is my all time favorite F1 Car, If I ever had the money I would buy one just to look at it.

Yea, had a model of that one myself :) Never knew anything about the real car, but it was one of my favourite models anyway!
