For Anyone thats interested, as I know at least one person will ask :)
She does get muddy, just she cant to places most of the cars people here can. that said she can get from a to be on very mucky, very hard tracks provided they arent too rutted very very quickly. She's done 4 non pro rally tracks and gravel track racing on the plains.
She's one of 8 cars built to evaluate the then comming S2 platform with the VIN below being an identical car built on the Coupe body and the one above having a then, brand new, Audi 4.2Lt V8. All the prep and work she has had is out of sight except the tailpipe. The pastic engine guard usually fitted is replaced by some odd kevlar composite. Propshaft is a lighter compostie matrerial and the rea diff, what would be the t-case on a 4x4 and back of the engine have titanium skid plates.
Engine wise she uses a 5 cylinder 2.3 10V egine ported and bored to 2.5, gas flowed head coupled to a Garett T34 as used in many Cossies. The exhaust was designed by Audi Autosport and is way more agressive than anything you would find on a normal road car, but it doesnt have the loud chav factor.
Finishing up in the offroad dept, both the rear diff and unusually, the center torsen diff can be locked. Rear diff I have a button for, torsen is self locking.
She puts out 225 BHP@ 4500RPM and measured top (tarmac) track speed on the test track at MIRA, Nuneation of just shy of 155mph
The best bit: She was sold to me as a 2.3lt Audi 80, totally debadged, 80 model badge on the dash and even the difflock switch removed. I paid £1200 for her.
not the usual mud playtoy, but one hell of a lot of fun, and yes, I've broken her twice doing it :) 1st time, bumper, intercooler, oilcooler, strut and driveshaft. Second time 1 alloy wheel, tire, brake disk and caliper.
