as snorkels are so much for my hilux i was wondering if anyone had made their own for their toyota, i know down pipe will do but i want to know if it will look stupid on a hilux. (got this feeling it will looking at it)

I used to run a home made snorkel on my suzuki sj (silly little thing,i know) it was made from 40mm waste pipe like what you have under your sink!!! If you heat it up carefully you can bend it to shape, or just buy the bends as they all have rubber seals in them.I stuck a universal performance air filter on the top. Its not pretty but it works!!!!!

hi jayson have used black down pipe on mine with a mantec snorkel top and used a landrover diesel rubber hose to go through the wing. all fits together nice and looks ok. wayne
hilux mk1 with mk3 2.4d engine. bobed 18 inches, full soft top, 9 inches of lift, full exo cage with swing out tyre carrier, front tubular winchbumper with x9, rock sliders, rear tube bumper, 5 speed box, front truetrac and rear arb lockers, twin transfer case adapter with 4.7 crawler gears,20 forward and 4 reverse gears, 38 inch super swampers , rear disc brake conversion, transmission disc parking brake, 5.29 ring & pinnions ,rear bench seat,hand throtle,custom storage boxes, custom made snorkel,onboard air compressor,cb radio,twin bateries,split charge system,diff guards, low profile gearbox mount.30mm wheel spacers

STARTING WORK ON MY NEW SNORKEL TODAY. GOT SOME FLEXY HOUSE OFF TO GET SOME STELL PIPE JUST NEED A SNORKEL HEAD. IF ANYONES GOT ONE KNOCKING AROUND THEY WANT TO SELL PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

what a pain getting the hole in the wing right for the pipe to go through on an angle :x  :x
