Dont have any Tats ,not for me , but I do like to see the the real artistic ones, I wonder if the folk that are covered all over get frustrated because they have no space left ? , if this was a bit nearer I would definatly pop a long ...............

I've already spoken to the guy who's going to do it for me and he's quoted me about £400 for the work.  That'll be 3 sessions of 2 hours each.

Hi James,

3 session at 2 hours each seems a bit exessive to me, can see 2 session 1 for the outline, and the second for the colour and shading etc. £400 seems a bit much as well, But saying that what size are you gettin it? same size as the pic? or bigger? If I was you get another quote if I was you.

It's going to be a bit bigger than the pic on here (depends on what size monitor you're using though).  The version i've got at the moment (the one on here is aprox 17cm from wingtip to wingtip and will spread from my upper chest, over my shoulder and onto my upper back, with the tail on my arm (all left hand side).  The guy who's going to do it for me is redrawing it and tweaking certain bits for me, so we'll have to see what he comes up with.  The 3 sessions and £400 was only a very rough guess.  He says he'll know better once he's redrawn it for himself.

Sessions (in my experience)
1st outline
2nd colour or fill in
3rd dust over (evens out large areas of similar colour)

My biggest is all black, custom. Cost? Four sessions over about ten hours (fill-in done in two batches) and about 600 quid. And worth every penny in my opinion. Been contemplating getting it extended if funds permit. Hmmmmmm, must stay away from threads like this...........

Even if they can do outline and colour in one hit, go back for the dust over as is makes a lot of difference.

cheers
