Been offered a new Disco!
« on: September 30, 2006, 12:01:04 »
OK not as good as it sounds.  I have found an incomplete project Disco 1 V8 3 door in pretty good condition.

Wait for it.......

For €250, which is about £160.

It isnt a runner (timing needs looking at).

Am thinking of getting it going but if the engine is knackered will just break it.

Don't know much about V8's  how good are they?

I am getting it deleivered next week so maybe I can put some pics on!

Surely €250 is just too good an opportunity to miss!

Anyone got any other suggestions?

I wish this project would just hurry up and finish!

But I don't think it will if I keep making simple mistakes

For around £160 is quite a bargin, even if its a dead motor, you make 5/6 maybe even more times that much breaking it.

What motor is it? 3.5/3.9 carb or injected. Doesn't really matter as £160 is a bargin even if the chassis is knackered. If the chassis is good then I'd build a bobbed pickup or rear engined defender hybrid and sell the rest of the bits on ebay. G
