Electric Window - help
« on: October 03, 2006, 22:46:41 »
The drivers side electric window operates down ok, but on way up - when it gets to the top there is a constant clicking at the top with a small gap.

Any ideas on what could be causing this - :?:

I would like to try and sort this at the weekend to ensure that it doesn't start to let rain in.

try putting some white spray grease (ptfe some call it) on the sliders with the window down and across the top of the seal too, run the window up and down a few times to get the stuff working, this may help, if it still clicks then it may well be teeth in the mechanism

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
