Warning light
« on: October 10, 2006, 13:26:23 »
Every now and then i get a warning light flashing at me in my TD5 DISCO
it only comes on for a second or so, it is in the top right hand corner and looks like an engine, as far as i can make out it is something to do with water in the diesel but i don't understand what i am meant to do about it. Any advice most welcome

Happens a bit on mine as well.

Best thing to do is drain the filter of any water that may be in there.  You do this by unscrewing the sensor at the bottom of the filter until diesel flows out.

If it still does it then it may be a faulty sensor (not unknown) and it will need replacing.  If you do this, then it's a good idea to change the filter at the same time.
