Is there such as thing available as a 2 into 1 USB cable?
My PC has a couple of  rear sockets, but they're occupied by the monitor & keyboard.
There are also 2 sockets at the front, currently occupied by scanner, Hi-Fi stacker link & the digital camera's lead.

I've ordered the AOL broad-ban up-grade, and it seems from reading the 'blurb' on screen that it requires a USBsocket.
I'd like a 2 into-1 so I don't pull the wrong plug & by accident.

Still wanting information, see 'Luddite Admits...' about transferring digital camera images to Webshots (Andy!!)

You can get a little something called a USB hub.

Get a 4 way one, and you'll have some spare.  4 into 1 from dabs.com is about 11 quid, so don't pay too much more if you shop at PC World.

Sorry Richard.

Right go to webshots and register http://community.webshots.com/

Personalise your own page.

Click on add new album.

There you can create a name for your album.

Next page will ask you to add photo's.

By now I presume you have already uploaded your pictures from your camera to your PC. And placed them in a folder.

Select upload and browse your PC for the right folder, click on the photo and webshots will upload it to the site.

When finished you can edit the photo, or upload more.

There is the standard webshot package which is free, but I have the Unlimited package which costs but allows more albums etc...

AOL also do a similar package http://aol.photobox.co.uk/ what it's like I don't know.

HTH any questions just ask

Thanks Tim.
I'll have a look next time I go into Wakefield, or ask our IT boys if they've got a spare one around the offices next week. One of our A&E consultants might be worth asking as well.
Didn't want to distract you too long at Langley Farm regarding the tow-bar I sent you, just so long as you're satisfied with it.

Andy.
I downloaded the 'Webshots' programme a while ago, along with the 'My Photos Assistant' & 'Irfanview'.

I'll have a go shortly and play around.
I still haven't got a lot of images from the digital camera yet, anyway most of the stuff I want to put on is from 'proper' photographs.

I've still got some nice piccies from when the ARC national was at Rudding Park in 1987.

I'll just follow your instructions.

If you have a good scanner then pop your proper photo's on your PC that way then is much the same from there on, but I found digi photo's were best.

Might of been the cheap scanner though  :?:

Good luck

Whilst on computer problems, has anyone else found problems opening Mud Club pages?

My home m/c is fine, but both the works m/c's which are old 600MHz jobbies, hang for ages on anything beyond the index page, particualy when there is a lot of graphics (pic's) on there.

Could just be the size and or quantity of the graphics, are the works machines on a modem and home on broadband? But yes I have had a few pages that failed to load.
Cheers

No worries, we were a bit busy when you came round :-)

The tow bar is fine, just the right shape to act as tank guard for my secondary fuel tank too :-)

All are on dial up; it just appeared to coincide with everyone putting pictures in their signatures

Just been down to the main Post Office in Wakefield as there was one of those 'We Came & You Were Out' cards in the letterbox.

Couldn't remember ordering anything, into the City and battle with 'School-run Mum' at the 2 private schools on the way.
I hate those X5 things, they're getting everywhere.*

So signed for the bag, with a quizzical look on face.
Aahh, it contains a modem, leads & the CD.
Broadband has arrived & loaded up, quicker than before good!) and SWMBO can use the phone (haven't told her I'd even ordered it)

Fired up the digital camera and tried to download a few shots onto another forum.
However they came out massive & were downsized by the moderator.
Tried to compensate at the 'point of origin' with the cameras software, but the image still came out oversized.

Technical bits.
I bought a Olympus C350Zoom, which has 'Camedia' software.
Windows XP
AOL Broadband

Suggestions please, or am I missing something obvious? (as usual)
