Not my day today
« on: October 15, 2006, 19:14:51 »
Went clay shooting this morning with swmbo. Firstly got hit on the eyebrow (just above me specs of course) by a piece of broken clay, not got a black eye but kinda tender to say the least. and then she goes and beats me on the final tally of the scores #-o        But she did cook a fantastic roasty lunch afterwards   :)
Any one local "ish" to me go clay shooting also??

Hope you're OK.

No gun anymore but if a loaner is arrangable (is that a word?).

More used handguns though, not fired a rifle or shotgun for some time. Last thing I fired was a Sigarms P229, not sure if you could do clays with that.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Aint that a bit like using aan elephant gun, AKA cheating ;) No skill involved when you are using about 12 rounds per clay :)

TWELVE....?!         Is that all...?!  900 Rounds pre minute available....!

Anyway... aint it the same principle as putting lots of shot in a shotgun cartridge...?    :D

I know nothing about full autos :)

Sig can get all 12 rounds off in about 20 seconds if you are fast enough and dont like your wrists. I beleive my old Baretta semi auto would get 5 cartridges off in about 10 seconds, not fast but you are talking shotgun carts :)

Anyways, you guys know a lot more about me than guns so I'll shut up and go back to bitching about having to hand mine in to be destroyed years ago :(
