Broken again!

I went for a walk today, and on my way home stopped off at a lookout viewpoint for an icecream to be greated with the sound of running "water" and then a diesel smell - sure enough its mine and its leaking out.

Quick inspection revealed that the fuel filter near the rear had spat its dummy and broken the drain plug leaving a big hole to piddle out of, and so it did, nearly 1/4 of a tank before the recovery men arrived and then on moving it 20 yards into position for the lorry it deposited the other 1/4 tank under high pressure all over the road

Not a happy bunny, LR are gonna get another earfull tomorrow, least its under warranty.

The plus side is my hire car (paid for by LR) - bloody fantasic, absolute rocket ship VW Golf 2.0TDi DSG auto....OMG its quick, really really quick ;)

DSG rocks, damm simple in how it works but a clever idea :) Want the DSG Tip box for the Audi.

6 gearchanges and now poer drop all the way up. Thrasher could answer it but I suspect the RRSC is a DSG
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
