non working temp gauge
« on: October 15, 2006, 21:48:11 »
since i put my 200tdi in, my temperature guage doesnt work. so i bought a new 200tdi temp sender, and it still doesnt work

how can i test the new sender? how does it actually work?

the guage itself works ok, if i earth the cable out, the needle rises, is this right?

cheers
Ian

continuaty test on the wire from the temp sender to the gauge, that would be my first check if the sender is new and the gauge moves

if i put the connector from from the sender unit straight to earth, the gauge moves, so i'd guess that means the cable is ok
