Better.... but the news editor responding seemed to be justifying misrepresenting news because the number of letters fitted... wonder how he gets on with the times crossword....?

In fact... think I might ask the BBC!

I agree, surely the short hand for High Emmision Vehical should be HEV not 4x4.

Well, at least it's an admission that they do misrepresent things; I hope they are going to actually SAY that on the national bulletins tonight!!

Nah... they can't use HEV cuz that is the acronym for the Hazardous Environment Suit that Dr Gordon Freeman wears whilst battling various interdimensional beings... might cause some terrible confusion should he turn up to battle in a High Emmission Vehicle... won't get nearly the same protection!

Flicking through the channels the other day & i saw the C4 thing about the richmond tax, mentioned the jaguar XK8 & MPV's as massive polluters... didnt hear "4x4" once!

The recent issue of parking costing more for gas guzzlers has seen the BBC NOT using 4x4.  I listen very carefully and it's gas guzzlers now.
