hi need a litle info just drainded oil on my 300tdi tran box and sump plug came out looking like small fir tree is this bad or very bad :?: . also 3rd gear notchy when cold this has only just started any info would be great cheers jay :? .

Have serviced thousands :x of Land Rover's in my career and to find swarf on the transfer box sump plug is normal. Don't worry about it mate
3rd gear notchy when cold, try a bit of slick 50 gearbox additive.
