Just fitted a K&N into the TD5, and I can now hear sucking noise inside the cab, is this normal after fitting a K&N?

Cheers

Yes................ish.
Which K&N did you fit, the replacement for the standard filter or 57i kit?

The 57i kit will make the sucking noise but I didn't hear anything when I replaced the standard filter with a K&N, although I do have a Safari Snorkle fitted as well.  :-k

Are you sure it's not SWIMBO??  :(biglaugh):

Standard Replacement (I think) . I have re-checked that I fitted it correctly i.e put the filter box back together properly, it only noticable at slower speeds, I guess I'll have to stick the stereo up another notch :)

It's not an 57i then as they replace the whole filter box with a cone filter, like the ones you can fit to the carb'ed V8s.

I guess it's just one of those things.

Pretty normal, my 300Tdi Defender does the same with an ITG replacement filter...

What you need is to have your Td5 chipped   ... won't stop the noise... but you'll be going faster.
