hi guys and girls
im looking for a landrover club to join thats local to Bromsgrove, are there any close? ive noticed the rover owners club in leaminton spa biut i was curious as to whether there were any closer? ive seen loads of landrover around bromsgrove espcially series and defenders as we all wave and flsh eachother as you do, so that made me more curious as to what clubs they mite be in. Also i have a landrover 90n/a i was thinking about purchasing a 200tdi next year wise move? or not? i love my 90 just wish i could accelerate more and go above 60mph. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thanks alot xx

Midland Rover Owners Club and the Midland Offroad Club both do stuff in your area.
Cheers

Clubs can vary from free (like this one 8) ) to about £30 p.a. Well worth getting together with experienced drivers locally. There will be no end of advice ( ) to be had from them.
If you have a full driving licence, I can't imagine any problems with any off road centres.
As for green laning, they are roads and so all laws that apply to tarmac surfaced roads apply there too.

The meeting I refered to is technically a meeting for an official club. Cost is around £25 pa.
I used to be a member, but thought club was dubious-hence why I joined here.
Met some nice people though, so still go to the meeting.
Only a few are actually still members.

Thanks alot for the info, been really helpful. Well i live on a farm myself i just havent got really anythin to challenging to kepp me busy so would like to go to a propper course and have a bash at it. This brings me to my next question, are there any course local to bromsgrove where i can just go to drive around?
Yes you shall all see me at a fourthcoming Mud Club meet as id like to have a chat to you all, and as for joining a club i shall definately be doing that it seems extremely reasonable.
Anyone here near bromsgrove? x

Let's not forget the All Wheel Drive Club who are active near to Bromsgrove. This weekend they are at a quarry site near Ludlow for a Road Taxed Vehicle trial which is suitable for road going vehicles as well as dedicated off road vehicles. Too late to enter that event but they are at Farley Quarry on teh 10th December another very good site. See
www.awdc.co.uk
calendar for events. They run competition events rather than drive rounds.
Personally I'd avoid single make clubs especially the land rover ones as they seem obsessed with how many rivets you have on your bonnet rather than actually having fun.
