I had a look at that site a couple of months ago, and read somewhere that the woman who started this whole load of bo**ox lived in an area of London that was being redeveloped but objected to a lot of things including shops, better underground links and park/ride sites as she felt that it would damage the character of the area. I'll have to try and dig that article out.
I am a firm believer in everyone having a point of view, but this kind of action is pathetic.
Some people are more than happy to have a go at a Traffic warden when they put a ticket on a car, so some wannabe earth saver could well get a good slapping, not that I advocate that sort of thing, becuase that would be very wrong and naughty.

Thing is if we take the ticket off the car and drop it as litter, are they not responsible? it has their name on it and they were responsible for it being there.

Hi there
Thanks for your email.
We'll have to agree to disagree I think.

Also, it isn't illegal to put a 'mock' parking ticket on a windscreen I
think you'll find.

Take care

what a load of tosh

QUOTE "Stick to the big models (see the back of the ticket for a rough list and avoid the little ones like the Justy and Fiat Panda) and make sure you look out for signs of genuine off-road use, such as mud or equipment in the back. We want the farmers who need these things on our side, so try not to annoy them by mis-targeting."

I love it........."genuine off road use" so stick a pair of wellies in the back and dont wash IT. You should be fine

I had a good read of that site, and I actually think it is a good idea.
You do not need a 4X4 in an urban area.

I live in a rural area and drive a pick up

Part of theissue is freedom of choice, why shouldn't someone live in the city and drive a 4x4?

Does living in a city preclude you from driving out into the countryside.  Heaven knows when I lived in Lundun I couldn't wait to get out of the place.  (maybe that was just the University though :? )
