« on: November 26, 2006, 18:39:20 »
We're off to morocco later next year and we're looking round for some type of storage for our stuff in the back of the 90 - preferably removable
Any of you chaps any recommendations for boxes or the such like?

You'll need some straps to tie everything down.

How about old ammo boxes with extra padlock hasps bolted/welded on? Just remember to remove all references to the previous contents first. The customs bods might start to quack otherwise!

Storage solutions should be able to help. Google them and it should come up. Not cheap but good. I use old ammo boxes in my 90 king cab but as already said might be fun at borders unloading your kit to prove your not "on a mission"!

We did Morocco earlier this year. We used" really useful boxes" from either Staples or Ebay.
They come in all different sizes and are all stackable.
Make sure you have plenty of tie down points.
Enjoy your trip

we did morocco this year aswell, we bought some of the 'realy usefull' boxes, but didn't take them in the end, they are good quality and absolutly ideal though.

what do you want from your storage? if its security, then metal boxes might be the way forward, if weight is an issue, then go for plastic.

we didn't find that security was a big issue in morocco... but we did stay in campsites and hotels that had been recced before, so we knew they should be ok.

Scurity isn't really the issue - just storage to keep everything together mainly - these boxes you mention sound ideal.
Which company did you lot go to morocco with?

we went with the LRO/ Protrax trip... pretty good, you certainly get to do a lot of off-roading... and the tech support is very good.....
they've got a lot of well researched tracks and trails that you'd never find on your own...
