I just wish they'd intoduce some of theother rules we see on the continent, like no drivers with provisional licences unless they have a qualified instructor with them. :D
Just latetly the tyre fitting industry is going downhill due to the amount of smaller companies springing up and the bigger companies like A.T.S, and kwikfit carnt compete with competition. A few months back ats were very close to going bankrupt because of it. Due to this ats and kwikfit came up with an idea to change the current law of the minimum legal tread depth from 1.6mm to 3mm. This means if you get pulled by the police or take your car for an mot and you have 3mm tread or less you will get points/failed mot where as now you only need 1.6mm. At the min ats and kwikfit are pushing and pushing at the goverment to change the law and they're not goin to give up until they're sucessful (theyre trying to get it changed by jan 07) just to generate more work for themselves. At the min it looking likely that it'll change. So next time your thinking of going to kwikfit or ats for your tyres think again as they're the robbing b*****ds that are trying to scam us all out of more moneyDont know if this is a re-post :)
Be nice to see hgv min tread depth incresed from 1mm as well, As regards ATS etc always found that they're always on the make,go in for 1 tyre, and suddenly your car's a death trap needing new brakes exhaust more tyres etc etc etc etc :x :x
