Appology to BTM

Yesterday (30 November) we passed just outside Castleford.

You were flashing madly.  So was I.  Well I was from inside.

Later some twit cut me up and I pressed the horn switch.  Nothing happened.

Checking it out today I found that the fuse has blown!!!
The same fuse runs the horn, interior light, flash and clock.

So I was flashing at you and not ignoring you.

No worries Mick

As I stated in my 'Langley Farmer' post in the 'Spotted' forum, I'd already seen you as you crested the canal bridge.

I know you waved, I saw you

No, Micks 90 is fairly distinctive (& I've seen it before outside his house)

Oh if only it were that simple.  A new fuse sorted the horn & flash.
So I checked the brake lights NOTHING, checked the trailer board nothing, so it's not all three bulbs then.
Checked the fuse as the cover was still off. That was OK
Isolate teh brake switch and the lights worked.  Spray WD40 on the switch and reconnect all OK
Then for some strange reason the indicators wouldnt work, but everything else on the same fuse was OK.  The hazzard lights worked OK though.  Fiddled about abit cleaned connectors and all OKnow.
The I checked the fog lamp That wasn't working either.  Undid the lens to check the bulb and was met with a rusted up bulb holder.  Thrown it away and canibalised the 110.  I'll get a new one for the 110 later.
So at the moment all the lights appear to be OK, somat else WILL go wrong I know it.

Just so long as it's safe on these dark roads Mick.

If you need any spare units, I've got a full set of 8 in the garage, but they're the later (post 94) with the one-piece lens/base (& the separate bulb-holders)
Alternatively, walk up the road & pinch one off Dans 1-Tonner
No, I didn't mean that really. Honest

Yeah I've seen the Lucas Prince of Darknes thing before.

Gail (my better half) is a child minder and one of her children was called Lucas.  She could never remember his name to start with.

So I told her Lucas is an easy name to remember, he's the prince of darkness.  I had to explain.

The 110 is sucking air in at the moment, so it's off road whilst I can get some new pipes and sender unit.  I've taken the opportunity to drop the tank and Kurust the chassis whilst it's out and found some welding to do too, so the 110 is off the road now, though I got a new unit from Dave Spirrett up the road.

I can see Simons workshops from my attic windows, as we're less than a mile away
Do you remember him in his previous premises on Tootal Street in Wakefield? (on 'Chantry Bridge')
