From the pic it looks to me as if the bus was going backwards, as opposed to the Hummer going forwards.

i cant stand hummers. a mate of mine pul;led up in a stretched hummer (birthday treat or summin) and after noticing it had massive mud tyres on it, obviously never in its life seen the mud, but i asked the guy who was driving it for some specs:
8 litre V8
7.8 MPG

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the build quality of the HumVee though. Surely the crash tests must be the same in the States, as we have over here.

the humvee was the US armys replacement for the Jeep, in the 80s
GM did sell a civvy version in the early 90s (later called the H1), but the one you see around these days is either the Hummer H2 or the H3. which are crap. most people dont realise they arent the same thing, even though the original humvee was huge, over 7ft wide.

i said i was showing the hummer isnt a tank... they didnt get it

That pic should be shown to all schools... To show the kids how dangerous driving fast can be... even in a Hummer.

I'm not surprised the bus took very little damage. The yanks treat their kid like diamonds. the buses for them were specially designed to save kids at the expense of everything else. the back of the bus is shaped like a wedge, forcing anything coming from behind to go underneath.
Not so stupid those yanks ay :wink:
