A mate of mine went down a near vertical drop at Devils Pit. The rear wheels lifted off the ground as he went down.....Can still hear the screams of the passengers.... :D  :D

It's always hard to tell, because you can never really see the camera angle, but I'd wager I've driven down steeper in the Discovery.  Particularly when the surface he's driving on is pretty solid and not likely to overtake you.

I drive down the sides of hills on a daily basis. I would suggest that this one varies between 30 degrees and 45 degrees with maybe a couple of spots being closer to 50 degrees.
It would be similar to the angle on an average house roof. Nothing much if it's a short run, but would make some people uncomfortable if it decended the side of a valley for hundreds of feet.
