Hi
I'm posting this for my brother

he wants to fit a 2inch lift kit with 33x12.5x15 tyres, will he need to fit radius correction arms and what size wheel spacers will he need.

also how will the above effect the gearing ratios.

If there,s anything else he needs to consider please post.

cheers

First ask youself ' why ' you want a 2'' lift and 33'' MT
What is the veichle being used for. eg. winch challenges or green lanes. etc.

You can run a Defender on a 2'' lift without any other MODS without to much trouble
But if you can stretch to Castor corection arms Great. without these arms both front wheels are on a slight angle but depending on what you are doing with it and how many miles you are doing. does it matter some people will tell you they are a must, other people will tell you they have run there LR for years with no other mods apart from springs and shocks.

Why do you want 33'' Muds.  They may give you a little more ground clearance. But do you need it..

I have done a lot of reseach on this subject, as i want to do similar Mods to mine..

Here is a comprimise..  a 1'' lift using britpart yellow springs.
No worrys about castor corection.
31'' Muds
You may be wright the 2'' lift and 33'' muds does maybe look a little better
depending on taste.
But the fact of the matter is A 1'' lift will handle better lest likley to tip over. ' off road ' and 31'' has less affect on the gearing. .

My reasech has come to a end and here it is.
1'' YELLOW brit part springs
2'' Pro comp shocks. 2'' give more downward drop
There are other shocks if you pocket is deap. OME / Rough Contry etc.
3'' ext braded hoese. allows for the extra axel drop
31'' Simex Mud terrain.
and if you want some dislocation cones with the extra drop the shocks will give if you go extreme your springs wo'nt pop out.

Hope that all helps mate
