B - Day!

NHS what is going on…… my daughter is 8months pregnant and had a hell of a time, the first three months were spent in hospital and the last few weeks as well with various problems. Earlier in the week she saw her consultant and he said enough enough, were have you in on Friday and induce, a letter was given with a number to phone between 7am and 7:30 before coming in.

So this morning we were all up early and phoned at 7am, only to be told there were no beds free, can we phone back between 10/10:30.

10 o’clock the mrs phoned again, same answer no beds can we phone back between 2/2:30.

2 o’clock phoned again, were phone you right back !

3:30 still not heard from the hospital, so we phone them (you got the idea) sorry still no beds free can we phone back between 5/5:30……

I now wonder when she’ll be admitted, don’t get me wrong I think the staff, nurses and doctors do a great job, but what a pain….. all this waiting around, and as time gets on the more impatience you get.

Off me soap box now, I can hear the pub calling me

Back on the soap box.....

Phoned the hospital again at 5:30 and they said bring her down. So we did. The letter said ward 9, when we got there the nurse on the desk said "your not on this ward, ward 10 is what you need" off to ward 10, to find the midwife was getting concerned that Vicki hadn't turned up.  :?

Makes me wonder do the departments talk to each other, don't think so. It turn out that the letter we had was for ward 9, not ward 10, as we have been phoning ward 9 she wasn't even booked in with them, shows that they look at there booking systems!

Oh well, all well that ends well see other thread Grandpa Turtle  :D  :D  :D

Sould have took a camp bed under your arm, and if they asked why, tell them "Just in case"!

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40
