Had some zukes on the trial with us today (as always) where the land rovers and other biggies were sinking into the mud axle deep+   They were just skipping across the top of it

Didn't like to mention it but i actually towed a Disco out of a swampy area with my little zuki because he got stuck and then broke his rear diff. After i towed him out i drove through the same bit no sweat at all. :D
Now before all the L/R owners jump all over me, there were bits where i would have prefered to have been in something like a disco or at least a 4x4 with a long wheelbase because although i did  the bits the L/R guys did some of the drops can be real scarey in a short wheelbase Zuke when the back goes light and feels like it's coming over the top, on one particular drop a Disco did i feel sure the Zuke would have gone end over end   it definately needed the long wheelbase to allow the front axle to start going horizontal before the back axle was coming down vertical (if you get what i mean  :? ) i have to confess that i didn't do that bit    but that could be just me not being brave enough   i should add that i suffer badly from vertigo, so it probably was just me

quite clearly the water had affected you more than your zuke...... you seem to have typed that you'd rather be in a Discovery.... surely a typo...

But seriously.....

The only trouble I've had so far is that you get thrown, and I do mean thrown into the bigger car's ruts... thats what ripped my snorkle off and damaged my rear quarter... damage that makes it look even more like a propper off roader!

When I went to Bircham in the summer I kept the RHS high in the water before my snorkle, all was fine till i hit the hole and dissapeared, we pulled the zuke out and too a slope so the RHS was down hill, let the water flow from the carb, and it did, sprayed a can of WD in it and kazooom back to life!

Do that in a Landrover!
