« on: January 01, 2007, 21:53:24 »
went to my local fun day on sunday, to try out my new mods, which where

dislocation cones
extended bump stops
lowered front turrets
lowered rear shock mount

well i deffinatly felt the difference and managed more difficult things

didnt get asmany pics as i wanted to tho

oh got a few little videos aswell, my dad loves playing in the mud,as u can see in the first video

http://media.putfile.com/disco-in-the-mud

i maged to climb up a hill with a nasty kick at the top when i first got there but when i tryed to film it i cudnt do it, so close aswell but just not good enough!!!!

http://media.putfile.com/disco-climb

well after trying that a few times and nearly rolling it when it slid sidways my dad cacked himself and got out, and i gave it one more go with abit more speed!!!!!!!!   bloody hell i got some air when i did that

mach 5's over priced
look good
but if you have a locker or lockers
go in some deep mud and get a stick or bar trapped between them spokes, wave goodby to your caliper

I'm using the nuts off the alloy wheels on my steel rims.  Is there a problem in doing that, or is simply an aesthetics thing?

Alloy nuts dont have the taper to centralisethe wheel. Steel ones do. You could file flanges on to the alloys ones o machine them but for the sake of £20 or so quid is it worth it ?? Alloy ones are not designed to tighten on that part either. They tighten on the face about halfway up hence the spinning washer.
I would say get the correct ones.
