« on: January 05, 2007, 20:47:54 »
Right im going to look at a 'G' plate disco 3 dr in light blue tomorrow.

Just wondered what in particul;ar i should look out for?

its only done 115k and is regularly serviced, has 2" lift, 6 months tax and test, mud tyres, steering guard, and never really off roaded. just to tow his sj out of sticky situations.

+ sills & inner wing's, but none of these are really that bad to repair as we do these quite often on the west mid's maintance days.
raelly depends on what sort of money you going to pay for it & if you can do the work your self.

Saggy springs, leaking PAS box, but I'd say the most expensive one would be free play in the transmission, which could easily be the input shaft on the gearbox, which is quite expensive to sort out.

went and looked at it and didnt agree with the swap.

He loves my car though so think he was a bit dissapointed.

There was a lot of rot on both tops of the inner front wings, rears were also pretty bad, and didnt think a 3dr was practical enough...

Also dont know if its right but when stick is in neutral all you do is push up for 1st??

Is this right surely neutral should be middle of the box? (i.e 3/4th)

how much is your car worth out of interest , also you should be able to find a disco pretty cheap on here as there have been quite a few cheap 200's floating about recently

Well with the price that disco are selling for now, you should be looking at quite a good one for £1500
