Bump/ knock/ kick = 4 ways come on
« on: January 09, 2007, 19:51:27 »
Hi all,
Got a question, may seem a bit odd but I guess some one will have had it happen or know of it happening to someone else I guess.

My 4 ways come on after a knock either by feet in the passenger footwell or by hitting a bump a little hard i.e. everything in the boot jumps :)

They go off by turning the ignition off and then back on, I've tried turning the indicators and 4 ways on and off, the only thing that helps is a re-start.

Any ideas

ps its on a 1995 300TDI Disco

I'll hazard a guess that '4 ways' means hazard lights? (Did you see what I did there?   )

Try removing the side trim from the footwell - I think you'll probably find the relay that controls them behind there, possibly loose or something?

Tim's has done this and a few other too when we have been laning.  I don't know if the alarm has an accident sensor to put the 4 ways on when you crash :o
