How much to fix?
« on: January 10, 2007, 17:02:52 »
Some of you may know i went to look at a 3 dr disco last weekend but both front inner arches were rotten at the tops inside engine bay also was some rust in the rears too.

How much would it cost to get it sorted?

Would it just be a case of welded up or replacement arches?

Also how much do u think it is worth?

The parts, including the rear floor, would be around £200 but it's getting it fitted.
You can use Rangie inner wing repair panels with a bit a alteration.

Would you be doing the work yourself?
If not then it could cost more than the Disco is worth to get the work done.  :?

wings are nice and easy to remove, row of bolts accross the top, and some behind door hinges, one against sill nd one near indicator

once its off  the inner wings are fairly flat so sometime with a grinder welder and sheet metal should soon sortthe prob

unless they are totally knackered

With the rust in mine, I found it easier to source both front corners of a scrapper and replace the whole piece from the shocker mount round to the edge of the rad unit on both sides

While having the wing off I also patched up any holes on the rest of the inner wing
