I usually put Castrol GTD Magnatec in (when it's on offer at Asda!  :lol: )

Same here, two cans lasts the year, 1 1/5 to fill, and the rest for any top up

Me too i get 2 x 4.5L cans for £27.99 + VAT (33.92), I've used magnatec in my motors for years!

Use a good quality 10/40 semi synthetic.

10/ 40 semi sinth Shell i think
from an oil supplier £40 ish for 25 ltrs
works out a lot ceaper in the long run

what kind of oil is best for the td5 disco?
any one know what the main dealers put in?
just need some for topping up , if and when i need it.

I buy 15/40 semi synth from the guy on E-Blag who sell Lucas oil products.  Ã‚£25 for 9.5 litres and it has the oil stabiliser.
