hi
any know what in line fuse behind water coolant bottle is for
it is part of wiring loom not an extra
it sits next to the inner wing near to the alarm horn
its corroded as you would expect but i cant see what its what its
connected to
any help

Is it the piece of cable in a kind of cloth tubing? Could be the 'fusible link' in the main ignition wiring - if that goe's don't expect the Disco to go!
They usually do corrode, best thing is to cut out the worst (if not all) of the corrosion and solder it back together and probably heat-shrink sleeve it.

no its got no covering
just a spade type in line fuse holder with green fuse

It sounds like it's possibly after-market, probably had some spot lights on the front at some point or something like that.
Have you traced the cabling?
