Bleeding clutch

Hi,

Any tips for bleeding a clutch on a TD5 90 please?

I'm struggling - first third of the pedal movement is soft, after this firms up. Just enough movement to get it into gear...

Found a bit on the web that Disco's need to be jacked up at the front to get a firm pedal. Tried this but no joy.

Make the job easy. Go and buy an Easi-Bleed.

First of all. Why do you want to bleed the clutch. You shouldnt need to unless you have a leak, or have changed something in the system.

It shouldnt be too difficult, but a bleed kit does make it easier. Dont pump the pedal too hard, and seing as the resivior is small, dont let it run low.

Sometimes bleeding it best you can, and parking it on a slope overnight can get the air out by itself.

Check the play setting on the clutch pedal. They should have some play be for the clutch is depressed, will try and find out the settings for you.

Thanks for the replies. I managed to bleed out a bit more air and its now useable. Have now bought an Easi-bleed. Will drive it for a couple of days and then bleed again.
