Looking for somthing a bit different
« on: January 16, 2007, 17:23:12 »
Just a quick one …. My lad (15) and possibly 2 friends are looking for something a bit different to standard white limo for school prom night , Unusual 4x4, Monster truck, sports car, super car, muscle car, somthing blinged up or gangsta low rider...are some of the ideas, just something a bit different, doesn’t know what so any suggestions/links etc would be appreciated…. Manchester/Peak district area.

School prom, another USA import, we had to make do with the school disco

Anyway, I think yank limos are tacky and the stretched hummer even more so, but as a piece of tongue in cheek humour why not, someone even has a pink one

Or how about just dropping him off in a real cool car, like your 4x4 covered in mud.

I have to do 3-4 of these a year in a supervisory role (teacher) the best yet is a Aston DB4, best thing to do is time it right, too early noone there, too late everyones inside! Motorbikes are the best, contact the Local Harley club or Hells angels, with money going to charity I am sure they would oblige.

How about finding the nearest tank driving day centre, and hiring an armoured personal carrier for the night?
It would certainly cause a stir.
Or a Hearse.

you can get a defender that is a hurse for funerals. Welooked into it a few years ago for my dads funeral as he asked for it if it wasnt too expensive but it was stupidly expensive. We did the next best thing and got my disco coated in mud and i followed the hurse.

How about a convoy of ex-military stuff, there must be some guys in the ex- military landrover club near you that could help out if it were to raise a bit of cash for a charity...

a convoy of 110's and 101's fully kitted out would be good... even better if you could get a bedford aswell.... be like a mini-invasion...

or an ex-SAS pink panther, i know there are a few replica's about....
