Research reveals Global warming not linked to 4x4's
« on: January 17, 2007, 15:57:24 »
Having been walking to school to collect the kids for the last few weeks,
I've just driven to get the kids in the 4x4 because for the last 2 days it's
been freezing on the playground waiting for them to come out.

I was hoping the use of the 4x4 would warm things up but alas not. So I took
a peek at the met centre pages.

"In contrast to the recent mild weather, temperatures will fall over the
weekend, with snow and widespread frosts becoming the main focus of concern.
There is a risk of disruption over eastern and northern parts of the UK."
Is the world going mad?

So clear definitave evidence that 4x4's aren't making the world any
warmer... unless your sat in it rather than shivvering yer balls off.

Now then.. to make up for all the carbon used in typing and sending this I'm
going to do my bit by holding my breath whilst walking downstairs to boil a
full kettle to pour 1 cup of tea.  :^o

This links rather neatly with my research into Global Warming.

I carried out an indepth survey of the person sat next to me at work and asked which came first, Environmentalists or Global Warming?

The answer given was Environmentalists, which conclusively proves that before Environmentalists we never had Global Warming, but we had 4x4.

Environmentalists apeared and so did Global Warming.

Therefore Environmentalists have caused Global Warming!
Sometimes you need to get away from the crowd, the only way to do that, is to get a little mud on the tyres.

I see ITN have been reporting on the effects of Global Warning from Antartica this week.
They have been showing how the ice is melting down there!

Only one thing they forgot to mention:
IT'S SUMMER DOWN THERE AND ICE MELTS IN THE SUMMER, IT ALWAYS HAS AND ALWAYS WILL DO, IT'S CALLED HEAT FROM THE SUN!!

Here's some reaserch that has been 'conveniently' forgotten....

There are no 4x4's on Mars- just one 6x6!!!!

I'd like to see the eco-warriors link the melting ice caps on Mars (apparently they are melting at the same rate as the glaciers on earth) to CO2 and man's activity.......

If it were left to our government then they'd find some way to introduce a tax on any Mars vehicles with more than one wheel and pretend this will  do something about the problem!!

ok I've done my own research now and my Land Rover 110 is green.  It's very green.

Further research shows that it is Eastnor Green  :D

I might just have to give up my software job and become an instant environmental expert. I am certain there are a great many careers out there being well paid just to spout some emotional one sided sound bites with no scientific backup.

On a recent abortive drive to Africa I did notice going through France and Spain that I saw less and less 4x4 vehicles but the weather got considerably warmer. I conclude that 4x4 vehicles inhibit the localised formation of greenhouse gases ;)
