Amazing dissapearing intake
« on: January 19, 2007, 08:40:56 »
Lost the top of the snorkle this morning due to a low branch on a corner in one of the back lanes, but the amazing thing is that i couldn't find it anywhere, now I know it would have gone under some force, but searched all sides of the road and hedge, but nothing...

Is there a special place they go to?
How much for a new one? It's a standard Rebel round one.
Anyone got one, need one really as don't want the rain filling it up now....

was the 1st place I looked, including getting caught up on the barbed wire trying to get behind the hedge, although could be anywhere on the far side as is dense woodland, and with the storms very messy.

Think I have sorted a replacement, but have to say I'm glad I riverted the brakets to the screen surround as they just popped, if bolted it may have done more damage..

Last year, whilst laning in the Yorkshire Dales, a Landy had the same problem - lost the snorkle top.

Weeks later we were out laning when the snorkle tops owner came on the C.B. and explained that this was the lane where his muched loved snorkle top had been lost.

Yes, you guessed, snorkle top was found on the lane and passed back on to its owner.

You never know, hopefully this may also happen to yours.

It was probably spirited away by the Snorkel top Goblins that live in molehills. They take them and sell them to the Teletubbies. I know, I've seen them!
Look at the Teletubbies periscope type voice speaker thingy, and you'll see what I mean!
I think the Goblins may be related to the thieving thing that nicks my 13mm/1/2" sockets. (see other post on this very subject!)

FOXES!! ITS THE FOXES!

You carried on unsuspecting....Later a fox came by, had a sniff, got it stuck on his nose!

Got back to his den and all the family were laughing at his Darth Vader impression! So now he goes round to other families and teaches them how to cross the road safely!! rofl!
