Today I learnt a valuable lesson.
When programing a route in to a Tom Tom, don't go for the shortest route.
I set out from the RAF Museum at Hendon, and ended up taking roads through the middle of some estates that I daren't slow down in!
Mind you, I did drive through Harrow on the Hill and saw a lot of 4x4's. I got a few odd looks, probably due to the winch, snorkel, bash plates, mud and straw that are an integral part of my Disco.
All the 4x4's were all clean and tidy, although I did actually see one go off road, as it climbed up a very steep and tricky kerb stone, before dropping back down again. I'm sure that that was the most strenuous workout that the suspension of that Cayenne S had had since driving off the boat from Germany!

He he he.... a mate of mine just got his good wife an X5  #-o , well she took my self and a friend out for a spin, We went to the local supermarket and found it a bit narrow and on the way out she had to nudge it up the kerb, his words "Its ok to go off road its a 4X4" were quickly drowned out by our laughter
To be honest for the money he spent on it I was not impressed!
If want to walk it walk it, if you want to ride it ride it just leave me alone to drive it!

You have to look on the good side of this, yes it may take you through some areas you would lose a wheel in if you went below 10 mph but it can also take you down some nice little green lanes you didnt even know were there
