Today I learnt a valuable lesson.
When programing a route in to a Tom Tom, don't go for the shortest route.
I set out from the RAF Museum at Hendon, and ended up taking roads through the middle of some estates that I daren't slow down in!
Mind you, I did drive through Harrow on the Hill and saw a lot of 4x4's. I got a few odd looks, probably due to the winch, snorkel, bash plates, mud and straw that are an integral part of my Disco.
All the 4x4's were all clean and tidy, although I did actually see one go off road, as it climbed up a very steep and tricky kerb stone, before dropping back down again. I'm sure that that was the most strenuous workout that the suspension of that Cayenne S had had since driving off the boat from Germany!
