Right, I Have A Cure But.......

Whats The Cause......

Does The Starter Curcuit Rely On The Alternator..... Or Is It A Funny Coincidence That My Alternator Is Screwed And For A While My Normally "Starts On The Button" Zuke Has Developed The Dreaded "Clicky Starter" Syndrome?

I Have Rigged Up The "Clicky Starter" Relay But Surely There Is A Propper Cure Not A Cover Up Of The Main Issue ?

Anyone Got An Alternator Or Know If There Is An Alternate Alternator ?

I think its just getting the max power to the starter before it goes around the loom

Yep which obviouly I was before the altenator decided that swimming was not it's thing.....

But it does beg the question / answer that / is the "clicky starter" a sign that your alternator has seen better days.....

Anyway.....

I still need an alternator that when disconnected from the belt does not sound like a cement mixer full of marbles.

even when the battery is going well, and the alternator at its peak, you can still suffer the clicky starter fault.

Its cos the tiny guage wiring that Suzuki graced the Sammy with is simply not up to the job, and after ten years of corrosion on the connectors, the wire cant supply the juice to hold the starter solenoid in.

There is a proper fix......Re-wire the whole damn car with some pucka, heavy guage, not ten years old, with bigger connectors, wiring and sit back and smile cos the truck spins over every time you turn the key......


......All you need to do then is find a proper fix for the crappy carb they cursed your car with............

Stick with the fix, never had a problem since I did mine. Apart from filling the starter with mud and water, but then there is no real cure for that either :D

Thats easy, just get a Jimny lump stuck in with EFI it almost runs under water............well has done so far!
