Bonnet stuck
« on: October 31, 2004, 17:52:12 »
The bonnet is stuck on my 300 Tdi, the bonnet release lever is very stiff.  Is there another way to get the bonnet open?

Cheers

To get mine open when it got 'stuck' I had SWMBO pull the lever while I pushed down on the bonnet itself.  This relieved the pressure on the latch and hey presto, open bonnet.

Common problem if your car is too damn reliable.  Plenty of grease and use it a few times once open.  You may have to riggle it up and down to get it open though.  try not to dent your bonnet!

I did that as well.  Needed to resort to pair of mole grips on the end of the cable.  Worked a treat tho'
