The main difference is that with the normal one the winch sits in front of the radiator grill but the low line bumpers make the winch site further back and reduce the front over hang to improve your vehicle's approach angle.

If you've got Air Con then you may have to move the air-con fans and the same goes for the oil cooler if it's an auto. The front grill is also cut around the winch and you have to make allowances for operation of the freewheel clutch lever.

Even if you go for a normal bumper then you still have to make sure that the winch will fit.
The Superwinch EP9 & EP9i have a different footprint to the likes of the Warn XD9000 and the Superwinch X9. This is because the EP9 has the brake on the end of the gearbox and not in the drum like the others.
As a result the EP9 has the drum located in the centre of the bumper where as the others have the drum slightly off centre.

Hi there,i have a low profile bumper fitted to mine from Padia4x4 as seen on their website. It will fit a vehicle with air con aslong as you don't have a full width intercooler aswell.
If you need any further help cotact them they are very helpful

i like the look of low lieing bumpers. are they tricky to use the winch as you cant see how it is spooling in and does it scoop up mud more etc?
