depends on manufacturer, some have the sill plate in the front door hole and the rear door hole.
we like some do not, and it really makes no difference, the sill plate is just in the front door hole.
but bolted to outriggers aswell, and as long as done properly doesnt need the sill plate, but some peeps like them on sills aswell. personal preferance really.

Looking at swapping my Guardian treesliders for MudRat's rocksliders - his is a 3 door and they are from Scorpion, I think.

So, will the swap work or not?

Any one know? Will Scorpion rocksliders for a 3 door fit onto a 5 door?

front doors are the same size int they, so i dont see why not, and if you were going 5dr onto a 3dr car you could easily grind off the extra plate for inside the rear door opening.
dont hold me to that but pretty sure it would work.

Gords. I have Scorpion rock sliders on mine. They were a pain to fit and I had to chop the lower rear wing lip to get the rear mounting plate in against the sill. I still then couldn't riv-nut one hole at all. With the required amount of effort I had to put into fitting mine and with all the chopping and changing I would doubt the rear section of a 3 door rockslider would fit a 5 door. Don't know for sure but it seems very unlikely to me.

give em a call they wont bite.

The ones that go ont he outrigger are fine for most people. Mine have caused a little damage to the lower front wing where i landed on a huge rock ...and i do mean landed!

Oh yeah, the outrigger ones do give a little don't they :?  still prefer 'em to sill mounted though.

mine bolt to the out rigger at the back and the sill along the front door. Mine are 3 door ones onto a 5 door disco.

Sorry I have no idea what make they are. I bought them off a MC member from north wales. If he sees this thread he maybe able to tell you.
