"But we firmly believe it is right that we should actively tackle global warming at a local level."

So, the idea is to force people to spend less on their cars, paying less purchase tax, use less fuel, reducing revenue, pay less road tax, opt for the lower parking charges and live relatively boring lives  :?  leaving only the enthusiat, be it sports, 4x4 or dare i say luxury car to pay??
As for electric cars, they are proven more harmful than conventional engines, producing the battery, charging the battery and disposal of the battery is a huge process

All the money collected will go where??

What do these bobble hats heat and light their houses with?? How do they get to sign on?? Dirty bus?? How does their dinner get to the shops?? Do their clothes come straight from the sheep in the fields??

All a bull dung excuse to charge more money,

I know what I must have done, I found the one Laser-Jock was on about but clicked on the other one (it's the top link in "also see") and then copied the URL of that one.  #-o  ](*,)

I must say that I agree with Richmond Council.....

However they have got it back to front.  They should be encouraging people not to drive high emission cars by making it cheaper to park them.
Sometimes you need to get away from the crowd, the only way to do that, is to get a little mud on the tyres.

I wonder how many of the 47% who voted for it were thinking 4x4 and now find their people carrier or Mondeo fall into the same category
I have two brains, one with marbles and one without.

Guess which one I'm using today.
