At some point last Tuesday (26th) I lost my off-side mud-flap somewhere between home & Carnforth (Lancashire).
I initally presumed I'd ripped it off outside the house reversing the BWSOW round the corner & up onto the kerb to load it up, but a request for a relative to have a look before it went astray turned up no flap.
I know the bracket was getting a bit 'iffy' & was starting to rust severely, but I was still a bit peeved.
Obviously I can't backtrack through Bradford, the Bingley by-pass, Keighley & up the A65*.
I've been looking in the Rimmer Brothers catalogue for replacements.
Are part numbers 'MXC 6509' (near-side) 'MXC 6510' (off-side); described as 'Rear Bracket Only' the mud-shield that the Flap attaches to?
I assume so at (£20.56 - off-side) & £19.92 (near-side)
The 'Mud-Flap Kit' 'RTC6821' must only be the flaps & bolts as it's £26.45
Anybody clarify the situation for me??, or have some flaps & brackets going spare? :D
Are they bolted on in the same way as the front ones?, ie; through the wheel-arch to the load-space??
*Oh, & by the way.
The 'Land Rover Expercience' at Coniston Hall (Coniston Cold) on the A65 were out in force, no D3's though, but a G4 Discovery TD5 to partner the Range Rover they have.
Sorry no photos as you can't really stop with a BWSOW hitched coming up the hill & trying to maintain 55mph.
Maybe next time?
