Err..  if it does 40mpg it's worth putting in a museum as a scientific miricle, alternatively it's probably worth buying the guy from the AA a couple of pints for doing half of it's milage for it.

a 200tdi usually returns something between 25 and 35 to the gallon, even according to landrover :)

not really bothered about mpg just wondering wot its worth been offered it on a deal for my nissan patrol

so really just wonder wot its worth in ££

depends on condition,  and I'm not just talking about paintwork etc...

*if* it's in good nick where it counts, chassis rails, wheel arches, rear floor etc and depending on spec then anywhere between nothing and £3K,  although it'd have to be *very* special for the upper range of that

guy says its about to have a new gearbox and t-case fitted is this usuall for these or wot?

as u no im a suzuki guy so have no idea on prices of LR stuff

the 200tdi had the lt77 gearbox, which, err... wasn't landrovers finest hour in terms of engineering..

depending on the milage on the vehicle I could believe it would require a new gearbox,  transfer boxes are more durable, but if the gearbox is gone that might explain a shade of wear and tear on the tx box too...
