Theyre pretty quick/great fun..... but rubbish offroad    . Personally i'd spend the £3k on the 90.
is the 90 a 200tdi? if so, just tweak it to stupid levels :D 80mph in a dodgy, noisy, all-over-the-road land rover is just much more fun than a sensibly handled, fast and nippy little automobile ;)
Go and drive it, it'll help you make up your mind....but 3 grand seems a bit on the cheap side, it's not going to be great for that money is it?

Would it help if I bought the Caterham instead?
I take it you have driven the (or a) 7?As much as i like off roading, i would sooner have both off and on road pleasure. For those of you that haven't driven a 7 style car i sujest you beg\borrow or pay for a drive in one, the experiance is intense.
How tall are you as they are a cramped car ??
thats the problem i dont have 3k to spend on anything. thats why i would sell the 90! but i love that 90 but i feel like captain slow in it

Insurance, place to store, upkeep, loss of licence when you can't say no to the tosser boy racers who try to take you on, and as a consequence loss of livelihood. £100 Track day whenever the urge gets too much and keep the 90.Trust me, been there, done it still ironing the T shirts

I have a business and a mortgage and will not risk it for a race with some other tosser! i like my licenseregards James
How are you going to look after a sportscar without a gartage? With a bit of luck it will snow next week and that will help you make up your mind
